The Unemployed Graduates Program (Introduction) (Information about HESTIA) (The PET P Program) (Business in the community) (Volunteers in hospitals program) (Volunteers of unemployed graduates) (Volunteers in the schools - Gabriel) (The European voluntary service) (The Senior program) (Program Make a Connection) (Seminars, practices, databases) (Increasing of NGO's professionalism in the volunteerism) (Development of NGO's internet communication in the volunteerism) (The Universal Declaration of Volunteering) In the coming years the European Union wants to focus on questions related to the struggle against unemployment and poverty. We believe that such programs will become increasingly important in the Czech Republic. Engaging the unemployed in volunteering is one way of alleviating the effects of unemployment. We believe that the priority is to focus on graduates from various types of schools who are at risk of long-term unemployment. The project offers possibilities of participating in volunteer activities that could help the young people overcome their period of unemployment without suffering from a psychosocial crisis. They can even gain experience that could help them to find a job. The project offers young people a volunteer job and important training for their future employement. The volunteers´efforts are supported by the program supervisors who offer job consultation, training and education. This increases the volunteers´attractiveness to the job market. We have been cooperating with the YMCA on the program, which organizes educational and spare-time activities for the young unemployed. The success of the program depends not only on the interest of the young unemployed, but also on good cooperation with the unemployment bureaus.
