The Volunteers in Hospitals Program

(Introduction) (Information about HESTIA) (The PET P Program) (Business in the community) (Volunteers in hospitals program) (Volunteers of unemployed graduates) (Volunteers in the schools - Gabriel) (The European voluntary service) (The Senior program) (Program Make a Connection) (Seminars, practices, databases) (Increasing of NGO's professionalism in the volunteerism) (Development of NGO's internet communication in the volunteerism) (The Universal Declaration of Volunteering)

The objective of this program is to help improve the psychosocial conditions of patients at hospitals. The program pursues the following goals:
- to present the idea of volunteerism at hospitals both to experts and the general public
- to create favorable conditions and test the system of volunteer work in health institutions
- to offer the tested methodology to those who are interested

A volunteer working in a hospital may help patients to fill the long hours of their stay there, accompany them to examinations, or prepare a series of activities to make their stay more pleasant.

At present, we are working on a program for example with the Clinic of Pediatric Oncology of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University, under the auspices of Prof. MUDr. Josef Koutecky, DrSc, with the Ortoptic Clinic of hospital in Kromeriz and many others.
