In the framework of Business Community Involvement programme, Hestia organize seminars for business leaders in Czech Republic how to take part in mututal benefit acitivities. Futher Hestia organize special team building events, one-day volunteers activity, etc. for firms, which recognize this opportunity for enhancing good relations with community, where they are active.

The most significant event of bussines community engagement in the Czech Republic took part in Prague in 16 March 2003. Over 250 volunteers from 16 countries helped local community in Prague quarter Karlin deeply damaged by flods in 2002.

In Prague was at the time meeting of senior managers of Unilever comp. As a contribution to the community of Karlin, where works Unilever Czech Republic head office, they prepared in cooperation with Hestia - National Volunteer Centre one day volunteering event.

Volunteers helped to clean childrens playgrounds, clubs, local church and other places still in poor condition after the floods.

The event was highlited by politicians local and national (Mayor of Karlin and prime minister of the Czech republic visited it), by media and public.

Hestia is open for further cooperation with bussines community in Prague and other regions of the Czech Republic.
