The main goal of the project is to increase the NNO's professionalism within volunteering. The project is realized in 2002 and 2003 in the cooperation with partner nonprofit organizations - volunteer centers in Brno, Ceska Lipa, Havlickuv Brod, Kromeriz, Olomouc, Ostrava, Prague and Usti nad Labem regions. Pproject participants will also include associated organizations from the Volunteer initiatives coalition in the Czech Republic as well as other regions.

The target group is the NNO which already began. Respectively, they have an interest to start a systematic cooperation with the volunteers. The aim is to make volunteering part of the organization's work.

The main activities will be the consultation, methodic, supervision and evaluation meetings. The desired outcomes of the project are learning and metodical materials.

1. First subpoint is to increase the professionalism of the regional volunteer center workers, who are responsible for the service quality in the area of volunteering in the NNO region. During the last five years, many voluntary programmes with the cooperation of Hestia were realized. The organizations participating on voluntary programmes affiliate at the beginning of 2001 to the Voluntary initiative coalition, counted currently 20 nonprofit organizations in the Czech Republic. Voluntary centers have five main goals of the programme:
a) service for the NNO - cooperation with the regional partners
b) educational and learning activities - seminars and trainings of volunteers and coordinators for NNO
c) voluntary programmes - solving the community problems
d) international cooperation - for the status and professionalism of volunteering
e) PR volunteering - cooperation with media, public relations, regions, local government and state organs of purpose to rehabilitate and support volunteering.

2. Second subpoint is to increase the area of volunteering in the NNO which already began.Respectively, create an intrest to start a systematic cooperation with volunteers, which means to build volunteerism into the organizations systems.

3. Third subpoint is to work with "Metodic of volunteering in the NNO". During the last three years HESTIA - The National voluntary center together with regional partners solved pilot project "Volunteering in the hospitals" with the methodic support by the Point of Light Foundation. The goal of this project is methodical volunteering based on experiences from USA, which were verified and modified to our health service conditions.
